How Much Does a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Bali Cost? A 2026–27 Price Review of 29 Schools
Prices for teacher trainings in Bali are hard to compare. Some include a room and three meals a day, some cover tuition only, and discounts come and go. So we checked the current prices and terms of 30 Yoga Alliance-registered 200-hour trainings across Bali, on each school’s own website. The figures below describe the 29 other schools. Our own training is shown separately at the end, so you can see exactly where it sits.
Key findings
- A 200-hour yoga teacher training in Bali costs a median of US$2,612 all-inclusive: training, a shared room and daily meals, across 16 packages with published 2026–27 prices.
- Tuition-only 200-hour trainings in Bali advertise a median of US$2,198. Adding a shared room and three meals a day at the schools’ own rates (about US$42 a day) brings a typical course to about US$3,100.
- Only 9 of 26 Bali trainings with published prices include a room and meals in their starting price. The other 17 start with tuition only, or tuition with some meals.
- At the same school, a private room on a Bali YTT costs a median of US$600 more than the cheapest shared option (US$340 to US$2,680 across 12 schools).
- All-inclusive Bali YTT packages work out at a median of about US$125 a day for training, a room and meals.
- Most 200-hour trainings in Bali run 20 to 24 days (22 of 29), with a median of 22 days.
- 17 of 29 Bali trainings don’t say how many full days off they include. Those that do give 2 to 5, most often 3.
- The median published group size on a Bali YTT is 20 students (range 12 to 32), and 10 of 29 schools publish no group size.
- About half of Bali trainings (15 of 29) explicitly accept complete beginners. Seven ask for prior practice, from 20 hours to two years.
- Only 4 of the 18 Bali YTT packages that include a room and meals say airport pickup is included.
How much does a 200-hour yoga teacher training in Bali cost?
A 200-hour yoga teacher training in Bali costs US$1,450 to US$4,100 for an all-inclusive package in 2026–27, with a median of US$2,612. Tuition-only courses start lower, at a median of US$2,198, because the room and most meals are extra.

Three schools also sell the training with three meals a day but no room, at US$2,059 to US$2,800. Figures are regular 2026–27 prices of 29 Yoga Alliance-registered schools, checked on 27 September 2026. Three of the 29 don’t publish prices online, and many schools sell more than one package, so rows overlap.
Why the advertised price isn’t the real price
The first price you see is usually the lowest, and for most Bali trainings that is tuition only. Across the 26 trainings with published prices, the median advertised starting price is US$2,283. Put every course on the same footing (training, a shared room and three meals a day) and the median rises to about US$2,930.
Four schools sell the same training both ways, which shows what a room and meals really add: US$24 to US$67 a day, a median of about US$42. Over a 22-day course, that is roughly US$900.

So a tuition-only course that looks about US$400 cheaper than an all-inclusive one usually ends up costing more, once a room and meals are paid for. The tight budget uses rates the schools quote themselves: homestays from US$12–15 a night and local meals from about US$4.
What does “all-inclusive” include?
18 of 29 Bali trainings sell a package with a room and meals; the other 11 leave you to book your own room and buy most meals. In all 18 packages the room is included, but meals and airport transfers vary.

Several packages cover meals on training days only, so ask what happens on days off. Room types differ too: the cheapest package may be a dorm, a triple or a twin share.
How long is a yoga teacher training in Bali, and how many days off?
Most 200-hour trainings in Bali run 20 to 24 days: 22 of the 29 reviewed, with a median of 22 days. Six run 25 to 28 days, and one fits the course into 15 days.
Every course must meet the same 200-hour Yoga Alliance standard, so a shorter course means longer days or more study done online. Days off matter as much as total days: 17 of 29 schools don’t say how many there are. Those that do give 2 to 5 full days off, most often 3.
How many students are on a yoga teacher training in Bali?
The median published group size on a Bali 200-hour training is 20 students. Of the 19 schools that publish a number, 9 keep groups to 18 or fewer and 7 allow 24 or more, up to 32. Ten of the 29 schools don’t publish a group size.
Group size decides how much practice teaching and one-to-one feedback each student gets, so ask directly if it isn’t stated.
Can complete beginners do a yoga teacher training in Bali?
Yes. About half of Bali 200-hour trainings (15 of 29) explicitly accept complete beginners, and 7 don’t say either way.

Beginners don’t pay more: the 10 beginner-friendly trainings with all-inclusive packages cost US$1,500 to US$3,600, with the same median as the wider market, US$2,612. Of the three asking for a year or more, one sets a firm minimum and two only recommend it, so check which applies.
Are yoga teacher trainings in Bali registered with Yoga Alliance?
All 29 trainings in this review say they are Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Schools, so graduates can apply to register as RYT-200. We included only registered schools, so check any other course you consider.
To check, search the school’s name in Yoga Alliance’s online directory and confirm the listing covers a 200-hour program. Registering as an RYT-200 happens with Yoga Alliance after you graduate, and its fees are paid to Yoga Alliance rather than included in the course price.
Does a yoga teacher training cost more in Ubud, Canggu or Uluwatu?
Ubud has the most trainings and the widest price range, with a median of US$2,463 for all-inclusive packages. Packages in Canggu and Tabanan run higher, at a median of US$3,075. None of the three Nusa Lembongan trainings reviewed sells a room-and-meals package.

Samples outside Ubud are small, so treat those rows as a guide rather than a benchmark.
What isn’t included in the price?
Beyond the course fee, plan for these costs:
- Flights to Denpasar (DPS).
- Visa on Arrival (e-VoA): IDR 500,000 (about US$28), valid 30 days and extendable once, which covers a three- or four-week course. Check that your nationality is eligible (source).
- Bali tourist levy: IDR 150,000 (about US$8) per person, paid once per trip through the official Love Bali system (source).
- Airport transfer: included in only 4 of the 18 room-and-meals packages.
- Meals on days off, and on training days if your package covers fewer than three meals.
- Travel and medical insurance, which some schools require.
- Yoga Alliance registration fees, if you register as an RYT-200 after graduating.
Are early-bird discounts worth waiting for?
Nearly half of Bali trainings (13 of 29) advertise an early-bird or first-to-book discount, usually worth US$300 to US$570, with a median of about US$500. Many apply only to the first 5 or 10 people to book, or to bookings made months ahead.
Compare regular prices first: a discount off a higher price can still cost more than a lower regular price. Several schools also show a crossed-out “was” price; the price that counts is the one you would actually pay.
Is a yoga teacher training in Bali worth it?
For most people who want a certificate and time away to go deep, a Bali training is good value: all-inclusive packages cost a median of about US$125 a day for training, a room and meals. Whether a particular course is worth it depends less on its price than on what the price buys. These are the differences worth comparing:
- The like-for-like total, including room, meals and transfers, not the starting price.
- Days off: 17 of 29 schools don’t say how many.
- Group size: 10 of 29 don’t publish one, and published sizes run from 12 to 32.
- Who teaches: named lead trainers, and whether they teach the whole course.
- Entry level: 15 of 29 welcome complete beginners; 7 ask for prior practice.
- What happens after: mentoring, alumni support and whether you can repeat the course.
- Deposit, transfer and refund terms, read before you pay.
One thing a Bali training doesn’t give you is the right to work in Indonesia. Teaching yoga in Bali as a foreigner requires a work permit sponsored by an Indonesian company.

Blooming Lotus Yoga’s 200-hour training costs US$2,770 all-inclusive in a twin-share room, close to the market median of US$2,612. Of the 16 all-inclusive packages reviewed, 9 cost less and 7 cost more. The differences are in what the price includes.

We started from the schools named in widely read Bali guides and comparison pages (Global Gallivanting, Honeycombers, BaliSpirit and East+West’s comparison), then added schools from searches for “200 hour yoga teacher training Bali”.

- Prices: the regular price for the next 2027 intake, or the next intake if no 2027 price was shown. Early-bird, first-to-book and end-dated discounts are left out; where only a discounted price was shown with its discount rate, we worked back to the regular price. Crossed-out “was” prices are ignored: where a lower price carries no condition or end date, that is the price used.
