All 4-Day and 7-Day
Yoga Retreat Packages Include:
Every Blooming Lotus Yoga retreat includes accommodation, two yoga classes daily, daily meditation, two meals a day, a Balinese ceremony, pool access, wi-fi and a shuttle to Ubud. The 4-day retreat includes one workshop and the 7-day includes three.
Daily Yoga Classes That Energize Your Body and Mind
Daily classes on Blooming Lotus Yoga retreats are Vinyasa Flow, taught as a morning Sunrise Sequence and an afternoon Sunset Sequence.
The 4-day retreat includes one workshop and the 7-day retreat includes three, selected from Yoga Nidra, working with the chakras, Ayurveda and yogic philosophy.
Workshops are taught as group sessions and cover the practical side of yogic living — how to build a home practice, how the yogic diet works, and daily rituals that support the practice.
Suitable for beginner and intermediate practitioners, our classes are a fluid sequencing of postures linked with the breath. Classes are tailored to individual needs so they are challenging, yet not overwhelming and allow you to progress at your own pace. Each day of the retreat you will learn 2 complete asana flow sequences that balance the emphasis on alignment, flow and mindfulness.
Our Sunrise Sequence will be introduced each morning to energize you for the day, while the late afternoon Sunset Sequence will help you unwind with more gentle and nourishing postures that focus on healing and letting go.
These empowering sessions focus on giving you the skills that you need to confidently practice on your own. How great will it feel to be able to do yoga at home, on the beach, in nature, with your friends or wherever you like with confidence!?
Transformative Workshops to Awaken New Insights and Ideas
In these heart-to-heart sessions, you will receive next-level personal growth tools, learn about the yogic lifestyle, receive guidance for your personal practice and discover ways to implement healthy and balanced routines into your daily life.
We will also introduce and demystify some of the secret practices of Yoga that truly transform lives: Yoga Nidra, working with Chakras, Ayurveda, and discuss Yogic Philosophy.
We address topics like healthy diet and eating patterns, daily rituals that promote inner peace, communication patterns that foster love and understanding, and psychological attitudes that nurture self-healing.
A Complete Step-By-Step Meditation Technique to Find Inner Peace and Enhance Mindfulness
Learning and practicing the noble art of silent meditation is an essential life skill. If you are new to meditation, or not exactly sure how to meditate, you will be introduced to powerful breath control (pranayama) techniques that will help you master your mind. These ancient techniques reduce stress, promote mental clarity, heal and prevent psycho-somatic disease.
You will learn how to breathe, how to sit, what to focus on and learn how to meditate properly, and derive the endless benefits of meditation you’ve been hearing about. By the end of your retreat, you will finally have all the tools you need to confidently practice meditation on your own.
If you are a seasoned meditator, these sessions are perfect for slowing down, learning new techniques, relaxing and reconnecting with yourself.
Unforgettable Cultural Experiences into the Sacred World of the Balinese
The magic of Bali is no myth! During your retreat, you will have the opportunity to enjoy enriching cultural experiences so you can discover all the beauty of Ubud and its gorgeous people.
*Lunch is not included, so guests can eat in Ubud or order from the à la carte vegan menu. All meals are organic and vegan, served at the on-site Amrita restaurant, and contain no meat, dairy or eggs.
What does a yoga retreat in Bali cost?
Advertised prices for Bali yoga retreats vary enormously, and the headline figure is rarely comparable between schools. Some quote a nightly rate, some a package, and many quote classes only with accommodation and meals charged separately on arrival.
The honest way to compare is per night, all-in. Divide the total by the number of nights, then check what that figure actually covers.
At Blooming Lotus Yoga, a 4-day retreat costs from US$350 for three nights and a 7-day retreat from US$700 for six nights — about US$117 per night in both cases, including accommodation, two meals a day, all yoga classes, meditation and workshops. A 5.6% tax and service fee applies.
What to check before you compare two retreats:
- Is accommodation included, or booked separately?
- How many meals a day, and are they included every day?
- Are workshops and meditation included, or extra?
- Is there a single-supplement charge if you’re travelling alone?
- Does the price include airport transfer? (Ours is US$35 each way from Denpasar.)
Two retreats advertised at the same price can differ by several hundred dollars once accommodation and meals are added.
How long should a yoga retreat be?
Both Blooming Lotus retreats run at the same centre with the same teachers, accommodation and daily rhythm. What differs is length, price, how many workshops you get, and which days you can start.
| 4-Day Yoga Escape Retreat | 7-Day Yoga Bliss Retreat | |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 4 days, 3 nights | 7 days, 6 nights |
| Starts | Sunday and Wednesday | Sunday |
| From | US$350 | US$700 |
| Per night | ~US$117 | ~US$117 |
| Yoga classes | 2 daily | 2 daily |
| Workshops | 1 | 3 |
| Meditation | Daily | Daily |
| Meals | 2 per day | 2 per day |
| Attend without staying | US$150 | US$300 |
Choose 4 days if you have limited time in Bali, this is your first yoga retreat, or you want the lowest-cost way in. The Wednesday start also means it slots into an existing itinerary the 7-day can’t.
Choose 7 days if you want the practice to settle rather than sample it, you want all three workshops, or you’re flying a long way — twenty hours of travel usually justifies a week better than three nights.
There’s no wrong answer. Guests who book the 4-day frequently return for the 7-day.
Who are these retreats for?
Beginners. Blooming Lotus Yoga retreats are open to beginner and intermediate practitioners, and no previous yoga experience is required. Classes are taught to the individual with variations offered in every session.
Solo travellers. Solo female guests at Blooming Lotus Yoga who book a shared room are placed only with other women. Solo male travellers book private rooms. Airport pickup from Denpasar can be arranged for US$35, and the retreat centre has a 24-hour front desk.
Couples and families. There is no minimum age, and children are welcome in classes when a parent is attending. Private rooms and villas are available.
Working yoga teachers. Blooming Lotus Yoga is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), so hours completed on retreat can count toward continuing education requirements for registered teachers.
These retreats are not designed for advanced asana practitioners. If you’re an experienced practitioner looking for a physically demanding practice, you’ll likely find the asana component insufficiently challenging — the 200-hour teacher training or a meditation retreat is a better fit.
Planning a yoga retreat in Bali
Getting here. Blooming Lotus Yoga is one hour from Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpasar. Airport transfer costs US$35 each way and can be arranged in advance.
Visas. Most nationalities can enter Bali on a visa on arrival costing about US$35, valid 30 days and extendable once for a further 30. Every foreign visitor must also pay the Bali Tourist Levy of IDR 150,000 (about US$10) per entry — pay it in advance through the official Love Bali portal and keep the QR code.
When to come. Bali’s dry season runs roughly April to October and the wet season November to March, but what matters is what a retreat is actually like in each. Dry season retreats tend to fill up early and have more people. Classes are hotter in our indoor/outdoor yoga shala so light yoga clothes are recommended. The sunny skies allow for excursions at any time of the day and many people choose to visit Ubud in the afternoon break. Wet season has sunny mornings and occasional afternoon showers which make the jungle fell more alive. There are less tourists and groups are more intimate which makes the atmosphere more peaceful and better suited to yoga practice.
Getting around. A free shuttle runs to central Ubud on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Ubud is 15 minutes away, a waterfall 10 minutes, and Bali’s southern beaches about 35 minutes.
Good to know. Blooming Lotus Yoga retreats are entirely alcohol-free, and smoking is not permitted inside the villas or the retreat venue.
